5 things we loved this week

The sun is shining, and our wish list is too: from luxe mineral sunscreens to reimagined fragrances and sculptural wardrobe moments, here’s what’s catching our eye this week.

1. The art of subtraction

CAMILLA AND MARC’s Resort 26 collection signals a subtle but striking shift for the Australian label, exploring time, texture, and transformation. Inspired by sculptor Alexandros Zygouris, the designers play with how shape and form emerge when pared back to their essentials. Tailoring relaxes and silhouettes move with ease. Set in chalky neutrals and weathered pastels, Resort 26 feels grounded yet ethereal.

2. Abel, reimagined

Introducing the future of fragrance. Aotearoa fragrance brand has relaunched its cult collection of perfumes with a new reformulation offering 37% stronger, longer-lasting 100% natural scents. The result? Bold, refined perfume without compromise.. Master perfumer Isaac Sinclair calls it “surprisingly powerful.” Sustainability is at its heart: fully biodegradable caps, 100% recycled paper, and kerbside-recyclable glass reduce carbon emissions dramatically. High-performance, low-impact, and luxuriously crafted, Abel is a blueprint for next-generation fragrance – where strength, character, and circularity coexist beautifully.

3. Casa Ayllon lands at Laing

Laing is bringing something special to New Zealand with the artisanal jewellery label Casa Ayllon, now available exclusively through the retailer. Designed in Australia and handcrafted from glass in Italy, each piece bridges contemporary art and wearable luxury. Curated by founder Anna Murray to complement Laing’s signature modern-yet-timeless aesthetic, the collection delivers jewellery that elevates a look rather than simply accessorising it.

4. Mr after Mr

Deadly Ponies looks to the future with Resort ’25’s Mr After Mr, a collection inspired by Dougal Dixon’s speculative worlds in his novels Man After Man and After Man: A Zoology of the Future. Imagining creatures millions of years from now, the line translates evolution into leather and texture — from bold Ziger calf hair that recalls zebra-tiger hybrids to buttery-soft Nappa in muted greens, sun-bleached beiges, and deep blues. Structured croc textures meet playful pops of color, while the returning Rush capsule brings natural raffia softened with calf nappa. It’s a collection that balances fantastical imagination with everyday wear, giving pieces that feel inventive yet approachable.
