Feeling dull? This week’s colourful offering will brighten your day, your complexion, your home, and your heart with exciting partnerships, products, and initiatives from beloved brands near and far.

1. Plate up patterns

H&M Home’s fall collection has given us the ultimate reason to retreat indoors. Delivering a captivating fusion of pattern mixes, bold curves, and warm hues such as pink, green, brown, and mustard, it combines the best of mid-century with remnants of a European summer. This curated collection offers interior details that span across every room, from the living room to the bathroom and dining room. Twisted candles in muted tones and ribbed ceramic vases, through to ornate serveware and hexagonal bed linen. Whether you keep your shop conservative to a few new items or engage an entire home overhaul, happiness is guaranteed.

Available in H&M Home stores across New Zealand from 4th April.

2. Glow getter

New brand alert! Introducing OSKIA, the award-winning British skincare brand founded by Georgie Cleeve in 2009 now exclusively stocked at our beauty go-to in Wellington, Iris Store + Studio. With a focus on skin health and nutrition, OSKIA offers a luxurious collection of products designed to nourish the skin with essential nutrients and natural bio-actives. Inspired by the transformative benefits of MSM supplementation, Cleeve’s journey led to the creation of OSKIA after witnessing remarkable improvements in her own skin health when tending to a skiing-related knee injury. Their hero product, the Super-C Serum Oil, $158 encapsulated in biodegradable beauty capsules, features a superior form of Vitamin C and Smart Vitamin E, providing potent protection while brightening, plumping, and hydrating the skin for a radiant complexion. Other noteworthy picks in our basket? The OSKIA Nutri-Bronze sheer tinted serum, $141 and the OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel, $86.

Now available online and in-store exclusively at Iris Store + Studio in Wellington or online at iris-beauty.co.nz

3. Cool your heels

A collaboration we are especially excited about comes from muse Estelle Dippie’s brand Commonplace Essentials who have partnered up with national footwear icon McKinlays Footwear to produce a seasonal staple in three colourways. The Commonplace x McKinlays Anderson Slip On is handcrafted in Dunedin by McKinlays, one of New Zealand’s oldest footwear manufacturers, celebrating timeless quality and traditional craftsmanship. With a shared commitment to thoughtful consumption and local manufacturing, this collaboration represents Commonplace Essentials’ inaugural step into footwear. Promising enduring style and practicality for the everyday wardrobe, we do not expect the initial release of these slip ons to last on shelves for very long…

Available in classic Black, Brown, and Khaki, each pair retails for $279 from Commonplace Shop and select retailers nationwide. Pre-order now

4. Precious metals

Leveraging their influence for good is New Zealand jeweller Michael Hill who has recently unveiled The Michael Hill Foundation which will be dedicated to empower women and nature restoration in alignment with their 2030 sustainability objectives. CEO Daniel Bracken highlights the company’s dedicated support for charity partners like Women’s Refuge, Dress for Success, The Period Purse, Collective Good Foundation, and One Tree Planted. Through targeted initiatives, such as donating a portion of sales from select jewellery pieces like the Cultured Freshwater Pearl Studs and Diamond Serendipity Necklace, Michael Hill aims to make a tangible difference in communities worldwide, reinforcing its commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
