Each week the Fashion Quarterly team rounds up what to read, see, shop, eat and drink.

1. Introducing new sunglasses brand Jules Mila

Born out of Pieta Serville’s love for eyewear and her constant thrifting of vintage frames for their quality and style, sunglasses brand Jules Mila was born. Designed in New Zealand and manufactured in Italy, the frames are sustainably made from cellulose acetate and a plasticizer of vegetable origin, designed to withstand a hot Kiwi summer. They’re also resistant to shattering and scratching.

Serville has used her experience in graphic and spatial design to create what she believes are the perfect frames, mimicking both the timeless appeal and quality of vintage eyewear, but with a modern aesthetic. “I love the way the perfect pair of frames can not just elevate an outfit but transform a person”, says Serville.

Jules Mila’s maiden style, Jacci, is an ode to Serville’s ever-stylish mother. Shop the sunglasses in an array of colours at julesmila.com

2. A sunny-hued activewear collection by Aje Athletica

Fresh blues, dahlia pinks, and monochrome sets grace Aje Athletica’s latest drop of summer activewear, designed for all modes of working out (including running, spinning, weight-training, pilates) and beyond.

The collection is also set to introduce cork mats and yoga block sets, being foundations for any wellbeing wardrobe.

Aligned with Aje’s Resort 22 See You At Sunset collection, mandarin orange is a recurring hero colourway. It’s the perfect hue for navigating a hot summer ahead!

3. Restore and revitalise the eyes with Dior

The Dior Prestige Le Micro-Sérum de Rose Yeux Advanced is a new eye contour serum with a lifting effect. It’s comprised of natural-origin ingredients, including Dior’s famed ‘Rose de Granville’, a precious rose that contains an intense concentration of phytonutrients.

The serum is packaged in an ergonomic and jewel-like applicator to encourage circulation and stimulate tissue. The effect is a soothing and decongestive massage that cools the under-eye skin to reveal luminous and youthful-looking eyes.

Discover the Dior Prestige Le Micro-Sérum de Rose Yeux Advanced at dior.com or in selected beauty stores nationwide.

4. A very boring summer cocktail

Grey Lynn osteria & wine bar Lilian and Boring Oat Milk have collaborated on a secret menu item, ‘A Boring Summer Cocktail’.

The delectable result is a boozy strawberry milkshake, made with rum, strawberry syrup, Boring Barista Grade Oat Milk, coffee liqueur and a fresh strawberry garnish. It’s the perfect stepping stone from afternoon to evening, and a nod to the excitement of summer days and meeting up with loved ones for a golden hour drink.

An adults-only take on a classic summer beverage, the cocktail is only available if you ask for it, and is available for a limited time only. Get in quick!
