Each week the Fashion Quarterly team rounds up what to read, buy, see, shop, drink and eat.

1. Camilla & Marc’s new unisex collection

CAMILLA AND MARC has launched FUTURE NOW, a limited-edition, seven-piece sport capsule designed for all genders. The most considered and responsible collection by the brand to date, the garments are crafted from recycled PET and nylon, as well as organic cotton.

Creative Director of CAMILLA AND MARC Camilla Freeman-Topper says, “our vision for a more sustainable future is further coming to life with every collection we create. This collection is a huge milestone in our journey – the materials have been carefully selected for their longevity, responsibility and utmost quality. The fabrications are mostly recycled or organic, and they very much represent the future of where we are heading as a brand and design studio. The goal with every garment we make is for it to be worn for longer, re-used and re-circulated for as long as possible.”

2. YSL’s new take on matte

YSL Beauté’s iconic matte lipstick has a new iteration—enter the ‘Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Velvet Radical’. Like its name suggests, the lipstick’s finish is more velvety than your classic matte, thanks to the silky oils which were increased three-fold for the formulation. This not only means that the lipstick won’t dry your lips out, but it should also help them feel supple all day long.

Packaged in a sleek new black canister, the ‘Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Velvet Radical’ is available in 12 shades ranging from ‘Nude Pulsion’ (described as an irresistible salted caramel), through to ‘True Chili’, a fiery red.

3. Standard Issue x Kelly Thompson

Our new favourite collaboration by local independent makers is here—featuring colourful and playful 100% fine merino knits to brighten your wardrobe.

Designed by Kelly Thompson and produced by Standard Issue, the limited-edition range aims to elevate your outfits for the in-between season that is spring, focusing on pieces that are comfortable for everyday wear but are also fun.

The five-piece collection features a dress, mini skirt, tank top, polo shirt and beret.

4. Marle’s debut film for Spring 21

To mark the release of its Spring 21 collection, Marle has collaborated with award-winning director Stacey Lee on a dreamy short film that celebrates nature in all its windswept glory.

Shot in Mangawhai amongst the sweeping sand dunes just north of Te Arai Beach, the brand’s signature floaty linen dresses feel right at home.
