5 Instagram accounts you need to follow this week

We’ll take a LOL-worthy meme over a selfie any day…

Between the flawless selfies, dreamy holiday destinations and finessed flatlays, it can start to feel a bit like Instagram is only full of perfect people and their perfect lives. Meanwhile, we’ve just demolished a box of scorched almonds on the couch while watching a rerun of The X Factor… Er, not so Insta-worthy.

Which is why it’s refreshing whenever we come across the occasional account that can make us laugh, inspire us or help us escape our own lives even if just for a few seconds. We’ve pulled together a few of Team FQ’s favourite accounts this week – and there is not a Kardashian or immaculate fashion blogger in sight:

1.@mensweardog – This is the most suave dog you’ll ever come across, we promise.

Can’t talk before my morning coffee ☕️ #redmoon #hungover #canteven

2. @textsfromyourex – There is a scary number of relatable conversations on this page. Also, many we wouldn’t wish on our worst enemy.

3. @symmetrybreakfast – A couple in Hackney, London order the same thing for breakfast and then snap it. You would think this concept could get tired very quickly, but it doesn’t.

4. @fashiongrandpas – These senior citizens are SO. DAMN. COOL.

5. @piggyandpolly – We can’t get enough of these two French bulldog sisters.

Overprotective sister! #tbt #piggyandpolly
