Kirsty Godso Nike Training Club
We all know the new year brings new resolutions (ahem) including those of the fitness variety.

We’ve made it easier for you to get back on track (knowing how difficult it can be post-summer break) and have scoured the Auckland fitspo scene to find some fun free workouts to get you fit and strong. Bring a friend, ’cause two’s always better than one!

1. Nike Training Club (NTC)
Nike Training Club is a group fitness club with classes held by Nike reps, otherwise known as #sistersweat girls from around Auckland. NTC, previously held down in Britomart, now has its own space at Auckland University’s recreation centre. The classes are 45 minutes long and are based around the NTC app workouts designed by Nike Master Trainers, including the likes of ultimate Auckland fitspo Kirsty Godso, tennis star Li Na, and pro surfer Lakey Peterson. NTC had a summer break like the rest of us but started back up on January 25. There are daily classes and the time varies between morning, midday and evening.
Get in quick as the spots fill up fast, sign up here.

2. Adidas Run Club
Adidas and Platinum Sports Co. have teamed up to create a run club. The weekly event kicks off outside the Platinum Sports Co. store down at Victoria Park every Tuesday at 5.45pm. The perfect after work activity to get some fresh air and Vitamin D to help you power through your week.
Follow Platinum Sports Co.’s Facebook or Instagram for updates on the weekly runs.

3. Lululemon Community Yoga
Not all of us can afford the sweet yoga gear from Lululemon, however you probably can afford one hour out of your weekend for its community yoga class. The Lululemon team are all about getting involved in the community, and one way for them to give back to people funding their ever-growing success is with their community yoga classes. Each Lululemon store around the country provides a complimentary yoga class in store, taken by different yoga teachers from the nearby community. Mats and water are provided – now all you need is the outfit.
Visit the Lululemon website to see when the next class is taking place.

4. Les Mills beach GRIT workouts
Enjoy working up a sweat on a Saturday morning? Kickstart your weekend with a Les Mills GRIT workout. Not only are these high intensity workouts known for showing results, you don’t even have to be a gym member to attend. Classes are held by Auckland fitness couple Melissa Chalmers and her husband Bill, and are on every Saturday over summer (weather dependent), at Milford Reserve from 9am. Come get your sweat on!

5. Heart of the City Sunrise yoga
What better way to wake up than saluting the sun with an early morning yoga session? There is always something tranquil about starting the day with yoga and finding your zen. Sunrise yoga on Queens Wharf takes place at 7am on the first Wednesday of every month between the months of November – April. Get your much-needed fresh air intake to combat those hump day feels.
